はじめに
「スクショで翻訳」（以下「本アプリ」）は、文字認識（OCR）と翻訳をすべてお使いの端末内で行う翻訳アプリです。翻訳する画像・テキスト・翻訳結果を、開発者や第三者のサーバーへ自動的に送信することはありません（利用者ご自身が任意で「訳の報告」を送信する場合を除きます。その場合も画像は送信されません／第6項）。本アプリにはアカウント登録もログインもありません。ただし、本アプリは（1）任意で視聴できるリワード広告（AdMob）と、（2）初回のみ必要な翻訳モデルのダウンロードのためにインターネットを使用します。詳細は以下のとおりです。
1. 本アプリが収集・送信する情報
翻訳の内容（画像・テキスト・翻訳結果）を、本アプリが自動的に収集・外部送信することはありません。 文字認識と翻訳はすべて端末内（Google ML Kit のオンデバイス機能）で処理されます。本アプリ自身による利用状況の解析（テレメトリ）も行いません。唯一の例外は、利用者ご自身が「訳の報告」を送信する操作をした場合のみです（第6項をご覧ください。この場合も画像は送信されません）。
2. 広告について（AdMob）
本アプリは、無料の翻訳回数を回復するためのリワード広告のみを表示します。広告は利用者が「広告を見る」を選んだときにだけ再生され、常時表示されるバナー等はありません。
3. 端末内処理と、初回のみの翻訳モデルのダウンロード
文字認識（OCR）と翻訳は端末内で動作します。ただし、翻訳機能は各言語について初回だけ、翻訳モデル（数十MB）をインターネットからダウンロードします。ダウンロード後はオフラインで動作します。翻訳エンジンにより、モデルの配布元は次のいずれかです。
- この通信でダウンロードされるのは翻訳モデルのみで、あなたが翻訳する画像やテキストがアップロードされることはありません。
- Google ML Kit のモデルは Google のサーバーからダウンロードされます（Google のプライバシーポリシーが適用されます）。
- 一部の言語では、翻訳品質を高めるために Mozilla が公開する翻訳モデル（Firefox 翻訳と同じもの） を Mozilla の配信サーバー（firefox-settings-attachments.cdn.mozilla.net）からダウンロードして併用します。これもダウンロードされるのはモデルのバイナリのみで、画像やテキストは送信されません（Mozilla のプライバシーポリシーが適用されます）。この追加の翻訳エンジンは対応端末でのみ動作し、非対応端末では Google ML Kit のみで動作します。
4. 端末内に保存されるデータ（外部送信されません）
本アプリは利便性のため、以下をお使いの端末内にのみ保存します。外部へ送信されることはありません。
- 選択した翻訳ペア（言語の向き）、各種設定
- 1日の無料翻訳の残り回数などの利用カウント
- 「育てる辞書」（あなたが「訳を修正」で登録した用語・言い換え）
- 未送信の「訳の報告」（送信するかどうかは利用者が決めます／第6項）
これらは本アプリをアンインストールするか、アプリのデータを削除すれば消去できます。翻訳した画像・結果を本アプリが履歴として自動保存することはありません（保存は利用者が「保存」を押したときにのみ、端末の写真フォルダへ保存されます）。
5. 画像の選択・共有・保存
- 翻訳する画像は、利用者がギャラリーから選ぶか、他アプリから「共有」で本アプリに渡したものだけを扱います。本アプリが端末内の画像を勝手に読み取ることはありません（「スクショ自動検知」をオンにしている場合を除きます／第7項）。
- 翻訳結果の画像を「保存」すると、端末の写真フォルダに保存されます（端末内のみ）。
- 翻訳結果の画像を「共有」すると、Android の共有シートが開き、利用者が選んだ送信先にのみその画像が渡されます。送信先や送るかどうかは常に利用者が決定します。
6. 訳の報告（任意・文字のみ）
翻訳の品質を改善するため、利用者が「おかしいと報告」または「訳を修正」を行った内容を、利用者ご自身の操作で開発者に送信できる仕組みがあります。この送信は完全に任意であり、行わなくても本アプリのすべての機能をご利用いただけます。
- 自動送信は一切行いません。 報告はいったん端末内にのみ保存され、利用者が設定画面から送信操作を行ったときにだけ送信されます。
- 画像は送信されません。 送信されるのは、認識された原文のテキスト、翻訳結果のテキスト、利用者が入力した修正案、翻訳ペア（言語の向き）、アプリのバージョンのみです。
- 送信前に、送る内容のすべてが画面に表示されます。 内容を確認したうえで、送信するかどうかを利用者が決められます。
- 送信は Google フォームを通じて行われ、ブラウザが開きます。フォームはメールアドレスを収集しない設定にしており、ログインは不要です。フォームの利用には Google のプライバシーポリシーが適用されます。
- 認識された原文には、元の画像に写っていた個人情報が含まれる可能性があります。個人情報が含まれる場合は送信しないでください（アプリ内の確認画面にも同じ注意を表示しています）。
- いただいた内容は翻訳品質の改善のためにのみ利用し、第三者に販売・提供しません。
7. スクショ自動検知（任意・初期設定はオフ）
本アプリには、撮ったスクリーンショットをその場で翻訳しやすくする「スクショ自動検知」機能（任意）があります。初期設定はオフで、利用者がホーム画面で自分でオンにしたときにだけ動作します。
- オンの間だけ、本アプリはバックグラウンドの常駐サービス（動作中は通知バーに待機中の通知を常時表示します）で、新しいスクリーンショットが端末に保存されたことを監視します。
- 新しいスクショを検知すると、画面上に小さな確認ポップアップ（他アプリの上に重ねて表示するオーバーレイ）または通知で翻訳を提案します。実際に翻訳するのは、利用者が「翻訳する」を選んだときだけで、その画像は端末内で処理されます。
- 画像やその内容が外部へ送信されることはありません（通常の翻訳と同じく、すべて端末内で完結します）。検知の監視で得た情報も外部へ送信しません。
- この機能はいつでもオフにでき、オフにすると監視は完全に停止します。
- この機能を使うには、「すべての写真・メディアへのアクセス」「通知の表示」「他のアプリの上に表示（オーバーレイ）」の許可が必要です。許可しない場合この機能はオンにできませんが、その他の翻訳機能は通常どおりご利用いただけます。
8. 本アプリが使用する権限
- 写真・メディアへのアクセス：利用者が翻訳したい画像を選ぶため。「スクショ自動検知」（第7項）をオンにする場合は、新しいスクショの保存を検知するため「すべての写真・メディア」へのアクセスが必要です。
- インターネット：リワード広告の表示と、初回のみの翻訳モデルのダウンロードのため。
- 通知の表示・他のアプリの上に表示（オーバーレイ）・常駐サービス：「スクショ自動検知」（第7項）をオンにしている間だけ使用します。オフのときは使用しません。
9. 子供のプライバシー
本アプリは翻訳の内容を自動的に収集しません（利用者ご自身が任意で送信する「訳の報告」を除きます／第6項）。広告は Google のポリシーに従って配信されます。本アプリは特定の年齢層を対象に個人情報を収集することはありません。

本ポリシーを更新する場合があります。重要な変更がある場合は、本アプリの更新および本ページで告知します。

Introduction
"Screenshot Translator" ("the App") is a translation app that performs character recognition (OCR) and translation entirely on your device. The images, text, and translation results you translate are never sent to the developer or any third-party server. There is no account or sign-in. However, the App uses the internet for two things: (1) optional rewarded ads (AdMob) you can choose to watch, and (2) a one-time download of the translation model. Details below.
1. Information the App Collects or Transmits
Your translation content (images, text, and results) is never collected or transmitted automatically by the App. OCR and translation are performed entirely on your device (Google ML Kit on-device features). The App itself performs no usage analytics (telemetry). The only exception is when you yourself choose to submit a translation report (see Section 6). Even then, no images are sent.
2. Advertising (AdMob)
The App shows rewarded ads only, to restore your free translation count. Ads play only when you choose to watch one; there are no always-on banners.
- To serve and measure ads, Google's ads SDK (Google Mobile Ads / AdMob) may collect and use your Advertising ID, IP address, and device information. This is processed by Google under its own policies.

- You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in Android under Settings > Privacy > Ads.
- The content of the images or text you translate is never used for advertising (translation content is not passed to the ads SDK).
3. On-Device Processing and One-Time Model Download
OCR and translation run on your device. However, the first time you use a given language, the App downloads the translation model (tens of MB) from Google's servers. After that it works offline.
- This connection downloads only the translation model; the images or text you translate are never uploaded.
- The model download is handled by Google's ML Kit (Google's Privacy Policy applies).
4. Data Stored on Your Device (never transmitted)
For convenience, the App stores the following only on your device. It is never sent anywhere.
- Your selected translation pair (language direction) and app settings
- Usage counters such as your remaining free translations for the day
- Your "growing dictionary" (terms/rewordings you registered via "Fix translation")
You can erase this by uninstalling the App or clearing its data. The App does not automatically keep a history of translated images or results (saving happens only to your device's photo folder when you tap "Save").
5. Selecting, Sharing, and Saving Images
- The App only handles images you choose from your gallery or send to it via "Share" from another app. It does not read images on your device on its own (except when "Screenshot auto-detect" is turned on — see Section 7).
- Tapping "Save" on a result stores the image to your device's photo folder (on-device only).
- Tapping "Share" on a result opens the Android share sheet, and the image is passed only to the destination you choose. You always decide where, and whether, to send it.
6. Translation Reports (optional, text only)
To help improve translation quality, the App lets you send a report when you tap "Report" or "Fix translation" on a translated block. Sending is entirely optional, and every feature of the App works without it.
- Nothing is sent automatically. Reports are stored only on your device until you explicitly choose to send them from the Settings screen.
- No images are sent. Only the recognized source text, the translated text, any correction you typed, the language pair, and the app version are included.
- The full contents are shown on screen before sending, so you can review them and decide whether to proceed.
- Sending opens your browser and uses a Google Form. The form is configured not to collect email addresses, and no sign-in is required. Google's Privacy Policy applies to your use of the form.
- Recognized text may contain personal information that appeared in the original image. Please do not send reports that contain personal information (the same warning is shown in the App before sending).
- Submitted content is used solely to improve translation quality and is never sold or shared with third parties.
7. Screenshot Auto-Detect (optional; off by default)
The App includes an optional "Screenshot auto-detect" feature that makes it easy to translate a screenshot right after you take it. It is off by default and runs only when you turn it on yourself from the home screen.
- Only while it is on, the App monitors for newly saved screenshots via a background foreground service (which shows a persistent "standing by" notification while active).
- When a new screenshot is detected, it offers translation via a small confirmation popup drawn over other apps (an overlay) or a notification. It translates only when you choose "Translate," and that image is processed on your device.
- The image and its contents are never transmitted (everything stays on your device, just like normal translation). No information gathered by the monitoring is transmitted either.
- You can turn this off at any time, which fully stops the monitoring.
- This feature requires "access to all photos/media," "notification" permission, and "display over other apps (overlay)" permission. If you do not grant these, the feature cannot be turned on, but all other translation features work as usual.
8. Permissions Used
- Photos/Media access: so you can pick the image you want to translate. If you turn on "Screenshot auto-detect" (Section 7), access to all photos/media is required to detect newly saved screenshots.
- Internet: for rewarded ads and the one-time translation-model download.
- Notifications, display over other apps (overlay), and a foreground service: used only while "Screenshot auto-detect" (Section 7) is on; not used when it is off.
9. Children's Privacy
The App does not collect translation content automatically (except for translation reports you yourself choose to submit — see Section 6). Ads are served under Google's policies. The App does not collect personal information from any specific age group.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will announce material changes through an app update and on this page.
